NEEDS Kitchen story “Naheed Sherazi is an entrepreneur, a social activist, an educationist among other roles. She was born in the land of Iran but soon after shifted to Pakistan. Pursued her Bachelors degree in Home Economics in Islamabad while also being active in the role of a state-level translator for Iranian dignitaries in Pakistan. After marriage, she opposed the tradition of females enrolling for relatively easier degrees and went ahead to successfully complete her degree in Masters in Gender Studies. Thereafter she started working with the top Non Profit organizations such as Oxfam. During this tenure she experienced working in several schools in Islamabad e.g Convent and City School. Naheed after obtaining a successful career in teaching, went on to establishing a start up called Needs Kitchen, after several offers from organizations such as the Canadian High Commission and WHO. She currently owns a registered company and is a member of Chamber of Industry and Commerce Women’s Wing. She is a role model for Women in Pakistan, advocating the need for Women to make their own opportunities rather than finding for it in the market.”
